Please note: Information is tentative, and will depend on a variety of factors. However, we want to share as much information as possible so players and their families can plan ahead and know what to expect.
Teams and Club Fees
Club fees at Tulsa Boys Volleyball Club are very inclusive (this allows us to avoid asking our members for additional funds as the season progresses). Included in club fees:
- Facility rental costs
- Equipment costs
- Registration fees
- Uniforms/apparel package
- ALL staff costs (includes stipends, travel costs, registration fees, education, etc.)
- Tournament entry fees for indoor teams (excluded for beach teams)
- Several other miscellaneous costs
Club fees will not include USAV/OKRVA registration, tryout fees, beach tournament entry fees, player/parent travel costs, other optional uniform/apparel/accessories, and team coolers.
While club volleyball is not the least expensive choice for organized sports, we strive to budget diligently but also need to ensure we provide the components necessary to operate a successful club volleyball organization for our members.
Beach Teams
With beach volleyball, teams are composed of just two players. TBVC will normally allow players to choose their own teammates, but will certainly advise on partner selections. As with indoor, we expect to have some variations in ages on our partnerships, but our goal to keep that age discrepancy to TWO years if at all possible. (example…..12-14, 15-17, 16-18, etc.)
The number of tournaments a team will play is primarly up to the players and families, due to several factors. Because of the wide discrepancy of tournament selections of teams, we exclude tournament fees from our beach club fees (i.e., each team will be responsible for their own entry fees for the tournaments in which they participate).
Indoor Teams
With boys volleyball being new to the area, our long-term goal is to field multiple teams each season. Another priority we have is to put teams together based on skill level. We are likely to have some players with previous experience, and players that are new to volleyball. We also expect to have some variations in ages on our teams, but our goal to keep that age discrepancy to TWO years if at all possible. (example…..12-14, 15-17, 16-18, etc.)
High-school aged indoor teams are expected to be scheduled for 3-7 events during the indoor club season. Several of these tournaments will be out of the Tulsa metro area, and thus will have travel requirements.
Junior-high aged indoor teams are expected to be scheduled for 2-5 events. We expect more of these tournaments to be in the Tulsa area, so they are expected to travel less than the HS teams. Also, if there is a shortage of boys tournament options locally, it may be necessary to participate against girls teams (allowed by OKRVA).
Projected club fees
Beach club fees for TBVC players are expected to range from approximately $200-$400 per player per season. Some programs may also have a per-practice fee (i.e, pay-as-you-go). The fees will vary based on the amount of practices, as well as the duration of the season. As with indoor, we plan to announce estimated fees prior to each beach volleyball season.
Indoor club fees for future TBVC teams are normally expected to range from approximately $750-$1500 per player per season. The fees will vary significantly based on the amount of tournaments as well as travel. Fear not, as we plan to announce estimated fees prior to each season so players and families will have an idea of what club fees are expected to run before committing for the season.
Payment Options
Tulsa Boys Volleyball Club normally 1 payment option for beach club fees, and 2 payment options for indoor club fees.
For beach club fees, TBVC will request those fees be paid prior to the beginning of official beach volleyball practices.
Please note: Actual club fees will vary by team. Amounts used below are for illustration purposes only.
- Option 1, Indoor Fees
- Full payment due at signing. A full payment, made on time, will also be offered a discount of 5%.
- Example 1: Club Fees of $995.00 would be discounted to $945.25 if paid in full at signing.
- Example 2: Club Fees of $1,255.00 would be discounted to $1,192.25 if paid in full at signing.
- Full payment due at signing. A full payment, made on time, will also be offered a discount of 5%.
- Option 2, Indoor Fees
- Forty (50%) Deposit due at signing, with 2 additional payments due in Jan/Feb.
- Example 1: Club Fees of $995.00 would have a deposit of $497.50 due at signing. The 2 additional payments of $248.75 would be due in Jan/Feb.
- Example 2: Club Fees of $1,255.00 would have a deposit of $627.50 due at signing. The 2 additional payments of $313.75 would be due in Jan/Feb.
- Forty (50%) Deposit due at signing, with 2 additional payments due in Jan/Feb.
To those families who have multiple kids on teams with Tulsa Boys Volleyball Club, we will do our best to offer an additional discount on your club fees, starting with the second player.
